Draping Branches

The lichen covered branches interlock themselves above the woodland trail. It leads to the side of a rocky hill where you can stand among the prickly pears and dead oaks to gaze across the farmland and the wild country being cut down by the developers. The suburbs are slowly creeping up this hill. In a few years I'm sure there will be a million dollar mansion crowning it instead of the fire pits and broken beer bottles of the vacant hobo camp.
